It’s so special to see a person, having lived almost a century, continue to do what they love most in the world, and especially in front of thousands of people. It was during the talent show, “Britain’s Got Talent”, that Nora Barton, 96, performed brilliantly. She took to the stage at the London Palladium, a venue which saw a parade of stars. From the Beatles to Frank Sinatra, including Sir Elton John and so many other artists, everyone has appeared on this legendary stage.
Nora’s daughter Pam says her mother has “sung for people all her life” and that “at 96 years old, it’s a treat.” In the following video, we see Nora, very serene. She is leaning against the piano on which Pam sits to accompany her. It is watched by thousands of people, including the judges. As soon as she starts singing “Loveliest Night of the Year,” the entire room is captivated.
