Jaw-Dropping Audition: High School Teacher Wins Golden Buzzer
While showing up on America’s Got Talent, Tom Ball managed to stun the judges and the audience. He managed to make the history of the show, All-Stars version. The 24-year-old high school teacher and singer’s journey began when he participated in Britain’s Got Talent. Even though he didn’t win in Britain, he knew he had something to achieve.
Tom Ball wanted to show his students that he could go even further. And since then, he’s become something of a hero at the school he teaches at. The public abroad discovered it. And when the formidable Simon Cowell told him that he is “like Susan Boyle’s grandson”, the man didn’t believe it. His rendition of Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence” literally reached the stars.
Tom Ball’s singing amazed everyone. It started slowly and subtly. And the more the song progressed, the more his voice and his stage presence increased. Everyone knew he was a wonderful singer. Indeed, it is not easy to sing a classic and make it sound better than the original. For Simon Cowell, if Tom didn’t win Britain’s Got Talent, it’s because everyone thought he was going to win. It was a consecration for the young man, who won over all the judges and the public.
