She makes the judges cry with her rendition of a Bocelli classic
A small figure hovered backstage at The Voice Kids, its heartbeat echoing the rhythm of anticipation. Barely thirteen years old, she was very small, especially under the weight of her dream and the immensity of the scene before her.
Her name was Solomia Lukyanets, and in her chest vibrated a passion for singing so powerful that it belied her young age. His chosen piece for the evening was a masterpiece etched in the annals of music history – “Time to Say Goodbye” by the legendary Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. A bold choice indeed.
As the orchestra’s velvety notes unfolded, Solomia took the stage, her presence seeming incongruous with the colossal voice that was about to captivate everyone present. When the first tones of Italian fell from his lips, a wave of shock washed over the judges’ faces, immediately replaced by pure admiration.
